Jaguars United Soccer Club has an active referee program.
PA West training for new referees takes place each January and February. Veteran referees are required to re-certify each November. A list of classes for both new referees and re-certification classes are listed on the PA West website.
Beginning in 2011, the Grade 9 referee certification level will no longer exist. Any current Grade 9 referee wishing to continue to officiate in the 2011 season and moving forward, must become a Grade 8 referee. Successful completion of a bridge course from Grade 9 to Grade 8 would be required. A specific listing of these bridge classes is available on the PA West website.
PA West is also suggesting that all new referees be at least 14 years of age. However, those as young as 12 are able to take the certification class.
